Area Manager – Construction

We are seeking for Area Manager who will be responsible for planning, managing, and supervising multiple construction projects or designated project areas involving structural steel fabrication and erection across the UAE. The role ensures projects are executed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with client specifications, UAE regulations, and company quality standards.

• Oversee the execution of multiple structural steel construction projects across assigned locations.
• Manage site operations from mobilization through project completion and handover.
• Coordinate structural steel fabrication, transportation, erection, and installation activities.
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, approved shop drawings, method statements, and relevant international standards.
• Lead Project Managers, Site Engineers, Supervisors, QA/QC Engineers, Safety Officers, and subcontractors.
• Monitor project schedules, manpower, equipment, and material resources to achieve project milestones.
• Ensure strict compliance with UAE health, safety, and environmental regulations and company HSE policies.
• Attend progress meetings with clients, consultants, contractors, and government authorities.
• Monitor project budgets, variations, claims, and cost control measures.
• Ensure quality inspections, testing, documentation, and project close-out activities are completed successfully.
• Resolve technical, commercial, and operational issues affecting project delivery.
• Develop and mentor project teams to improve productivity and performance.

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering.
• PMP certification is preferred.
• NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent HSE certification is an advantage.
• Valid UAE Driving Licence is preferred.

• Minimum 10–15 years of construction experience.
• At least 5 years in an Area Manager or Senior Project Manager role.
• Extensive UAE/GCC experience in structural steel fabrication and erection projects.
• Proven experience managing industrial buildings, warehouses, factories, commercial buildings or infrastructure projects.
• Experience working with main contractors, consultants, and government authorities in the UAE.

• Strong knowledge of structural steel fabrication, erection, welding, bolting, and heavy lifting operations.
• Ability to interpret IFC drawings, shop drawings, connection details, and fabrication drawings.
• Experience with Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office.
• Strong understanding of QA/QC procedures, Inspection Test Plans (ITPs), and project documentation.
• Familiarity with contract administration, variation orders, and project claims.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Strategic planning and organizational skills.
• Strong commercial awareness and cost control.
• Effective negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
