Manager, Bridges & Tunnels

Reporting to the Associate Director – Design
, you will oversee the design and coordination of bridges, tunnels, and associated road structures from concept through construction and handover. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring technically robust, authority-compliant, commercially efficient, and future-ready infrastructure solutions aligned with the client's strategic development objectives.

• Lead bridge and tunnel design management across all project stages.
• Review and manage consultant deliverables, technical reports, drawings, and specifications.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams including transport, roads, utilities, marine, geotechnical, and landscape disciplines.
• Drive value engineering, design optimisation, constructability, and lifecycle performance improvements.
• Manage authority approvals and stakeholder engagement.
• Support tender preparation, technical evaluations, and contractor appointments.
• Provide technical leadership during construction, including RFIs and design clarifications.
• Identify and mitigate project risks while ensuring compliance with HSE and industry standards.

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Master's preferred).
• 10–12+ years of experience in bridge and tunnel design and design management.
• UAE/GCC experience preferred.
• Expertise in steel and post-tensioned bridge design.
• Experience in tunnel systems including TBM and IMT (subsea tunnel experience is an advantage).
• Proficiency with structural analysis software such as CSiBridge, MIDAS Civil, SAP
  2000, or equivalent.
• Strong knowledge of AASHTO LRFD, Eurocodes, ADQCC, and relevant authority requirements.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary consultant teams and delivering complex infrastructure projects.
