Senior Telecom Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Senior Telecom Engineer to join our engineering team and support major EPC Oil & Gas projects. This role is responsible for the design, engineering, technical coordination, testing, and commissioning of telecommunications systems and networks while ensuring compliance with project specifications, industry standards, quality requirements, and HSE regulations.

As a Senior Telecom Engineer
, you will play a key role in the successful execution of projects by:

• Developing and delivering telecom design basis documents, specifications, system architectures, block diagrams, technical datasheets, drawings, MTOs, and BOMs in accordance with project requirements and schedules.
• Designing and engineering telecommunications infrastructure, including voice communication systems, data networks, fiber optic systems, wireless networks, radio systems, satellite communications, and VoIP solutions.
• Coordinating with project teams, clients, consultants, and multidisciplinary engineering departments to ensure seamless integration of telecom systems within the overall project infrastructure.
• Preparing material requisitions, supporting procurement activities, and participating in technical bid evaluations (TBE) to ensure compliance with project specifications and technical requirements.
• Overseeing telecom installation activities, including cabling, network devices, antennas, transmission equipment, and communication systems, while ensuring adherence to project timelines and quality standards.
• Supporting and attending Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT), Site Acceptance Tests (SAT), system integration tests, performance tests, and commissioning activities to ensure successful project handover.
• Conducting risk assessments, implementing mitigation plans, and ensuring compliance with health, safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements throughout all project phases.
• Evaluating telecom system performance, recommending optimizations and upgrades, and driving continuous improvements to enhance efficiency, reliability, and system capacity.
• Maintaining comprehensive project documentation, technical reports, test records, and system configurations while providing regular progress updates to stakeholders.
• Acting as the primary technical focal point for telecom engineering matters and providing expert support to clients, contractors, consultants, and project management teams.

• Experience: Minimum of 10+ years of experience in Electrical Engineering, with at least 5 years in the oil and gas industry.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Qualifications: Strong expertise in telecommunications systems and networks, including VoIP, radio, satellite, fiber optic, and wireless communication systems, with in-depth knowledge of industry standards and regulatory requirements. Proven experience delivering telecom solutions for large-scale EPC projects, supported by strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
