Electrical Specialist (PMC)

Location:

Abu Dhabi, UAE

Job Purpose

The Electrical Specialist will be responsible for providing specialist electrical engineering expertise for an Onshore PMC project, ensuring all electrical engineering activities are executed in accordance with project specifications, ADNOC standards, international codes, and industry best practices. The role requires extensive knowledge and practical working experience in Early Production Facilities (EPF) and Upstream Oil & Gas projects, with mandatory experience across Front-End Engineering Design (FEED), Detailed Engineering, and EPC phases.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Master's Degree is an advantage.
  • Professional Engineer (PE), Chartered Engineer (CEng), or equivalent professional certification is preferred.
Minimum Experience
  • Minimum 15 years of electrical engineering experience in the Oil & Gas industry.
  • Strong experience in a PMC engineering consultancy environment.
  • Mandatory practical working experience in Early Production Facilities (EPF) and Upstream Oil & Gas projects.
  • Mandatory hands-on experience in Front-End Engineering Design (FEED), Detailed Engineering, and EPC phases of Oil & Gas projects.
  • Experience on ADNOC or other major Middle East Oil & Gas projects is highly preferred.
  • Experience in greenfield and brownfield developments.
Technical Skills
  • Strong knowledge of medium and low voltage electrical systems, power generation, substations, transformers, switch gear, UPS, battery systems, and motor control centers (MCCs).
  • Experience in electrical system design and analysis using ETAP or equivalent software.
  • Familiarity with hazardous area electrical design and relevant standards.
  • Knowledge of electrical equipment selection, cable sizing, protection systems, and grounding design.
  • Good understanding of international standards including IEC, IEEE, API, NFPA, and ADNOC Engineering Standards.
  • Experience reviewing vendor packages and coordinating with procurement and construction teams.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and engineering software.
