Sr. Pipeline Commissioning Engineer
Location:
Abu Dhabi – PMC project
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical or Electronics Engineering, or equivalent.
- 15+ years relevant experience in completion/turnover within commissioning/operation readiness environment.
- 5+ years in a similar position on Oil & Gas or Petrochemical projects, with preference for sour gas, utilities, power/steam, and air separation projects.
- Experience in GCC region preferred.
- Proficiency with Completion Management System and reporting applications.
- Ability to populate large databases and quantify completion data.
Senior Commissioning Engineer for onshore facilities will provide guidance to EPC contractors to meet completion milestones from construction completion through pre‑commissioning, commissioning, startup and handover to operations. The incumbent will support the Onshore Completion Lead and EPC contractor to implement the approved Completion Management System, procedures and workflows within schedule and cost constraints, ensuring compliance with ADNOC and international standards such as API, ASME and IEC.
Roles & Responsibilities- Provide guidance to EPC contractors and subcontractors on completion deliverables and implementations.
- Support systemization activities, including system and subsystem definition.
- Review completion/turnover deliverables issued by EPC contractors, and verify mechanical completion certificates for systems and subsystems.
- Participate in completion and commissioning meetings; verify readiness for MC and RFSU certificate issuance.
- Ensure completion and handover methodology complies with contractual documents.
- Maintain accurate Completion Management System database for tracking and monitoring prior to acceptance.
- Monitor contractor mechanical completion and pre‑commissioning activities daily; ensure progress follows commissioning sequence and schedule.
- Ensure all installations are complete and compliant with project requirements.
- Conduct system walk‑downs and final acceptance inspections.
- Generate and track punch items (Category A/B/C) and verify closure of critical items before completion acceptance.
- Report completion progress, key issues and readiness status to project departments.
- Assist in ensuring mechanical completion and RFSU approval compliance with contractual requirements.
- Verify process of final handover to operations aligns with contractual and project standards.
- Ensure EPC contractors comply with company HSE regulations throughout construction, quality, and commissioning activities.
- Support the team in managing risks prior to pre‑commissioning and commissioning, ensuring completion deliverables meet project standards.
- Coordinate with contractors, QA/QC, commissioning team, and operations representatives.
- Support Onshore Completion Lead and Senior Commissioning Manager in approving mechanical completion and RFSU.
