Team Overview
Technical Projects Division (Gas Operations) delivers a diverse portfolio of projects and engineering modifications across ADNOC Gas assets including Habshan, Bab, BuHasa, Asab, and Habshan‑5. The division manages projects from ASSESS to EXECUTE, including tendering, site execution, material procurement, construction, commissioning, and start‑up to final handover. It ensures structured delivery aligned with ADNOC’s growth objectives and operational reliability requirements.
Summary of the RoleLead and manage project engineering activities across the full lifecycle from ASSESS, SELECT, DEFINE, and EXECUTE through commissioning and handover. Act as the focal point for engineering management, coordinating multidisciplinary teams, PMC, licensors, EPC contractors, Operations, and ADNOC Group companies to ensure engineering integrity, technical compliance, risk management, and achievement of project objectives.
Key Accountabilities Project Engineering Management- Lead multidisciplinary project engineering activities across all phases and ensure alignment with ADNOC strategies and requirements.
- Participate in tender document development and support selection of Engineering Consultants, PMC consultants, licensors, and EPC contractors through evaluation and bid assessment.
- Coordinate Statements of Requirement, engineering strategies, and implementation plans to support project execution.
- Review contractor engineering strategies, specifications, construction methods, subcontracting strategies, and technical submissions for compliance.
- Manage technical specialists throughout engineering, construction, commissioning, and start‑up activities, providing guidance on technical issues and decisions.
- Implement engineering standards, codes, specifications, and best industry practices throughout project execution.
- Monitor progress from licensors, engineering contractors, and EPC contractors, identifying bottlenecks for corrective action.
- Promote fit‑for‑purpose, value‑adding, and cost‑effective engineering solutions.
- Ensure application of state‑of‑the‑art technologies, equipment, materials, and systems throughout execution.
- Review pre‑commissioning and commissioning procedures and coordinate multidisciplinary commissioning activities.
- Coordinate engineering support during construction, commissioning, start‑up, and handover phases.
- Ensure engineering deliverables support Operational Readiness, Mechanical Completion, Commissioning, Performance Testing, and Project Handover requirements.
- Coordinate between Project Management Teams, Engineering Functions, Operations, End Users, Contractors, Licensors, and ADNOC Group companies.
- Facilitate technical alignment and resolution of cross‑functional engineering issues impacting delivery.
- Maintain engagement with vendors, OEMs, and external stakeholders throughout execution.
- Ensure engineering activities comply with ADNOC HSE, quality, and technical requirements.
- Support implementation of engineering risk management processes and mitigate project and technical risks.
- Contribute engineering inputs to HAZID, HAZOP, PHSER, risk reviews, and technical assurance activities.
- Establish engineering performance objectives and monitor KPIs.
- Promote innovation, engineering excellence, and continuous improvement across project engineering activities.
- Prepare engineering reports, technical dashboards, and management updates on time.
- Effective leadership of multidisciplinary engineering teams across multiple projects.
- Integration of engineering activities across all lifecycle stages.
- Timely resolution of technical issues and contractor bottlenecks.
- Strong engineering assurance and technical governance.
- Coordination with Project Management, Engineering, Operations, Licensors, EPC Contractors, and ADNOC Group companies.
- Consistency in safety, quality, schedule, and cost objectives.
- Adoption of best engineering practices and value‑driven solutions.
