Senior Engineer Well Integrity

Job Description

Coordinate and perform well activities related to well integrity, including surface and sub-surface operations, to maintain well assets integrity and sustain well availability. Gather and properly handle technical data inputs related to well integrity of all wells (oil producers, water/gas injectors, observers), analyze well problems, recommend investigative and/or corrective measures, and witness the implementation of critical activities in the field. Coordinate with site, technical departments and other concerned personnel on a day‑to‑day basis with respect to well integrity related activities and assignments.

Coordinate and perform well activities related to well integrity, ensuring that corporate processes are applied, maintained, and adhered to via the Well Integrity Management System (WIMS) performance, health checks, quality assurance, and fitness for service. Provide technical support related to WIMS requirements, communicate operating/critical envelope limits for operated wells, review and verify QA/QC, and share well production and operations programs. Ensure the updated Well Integrity standards and manuals are properly adopted by field production and operations.

• Assure that corporate process is applied, maintained and adhered to via WIMS performance, health checks, quality assurance and fitness for service.
• Provide technical support related to WIMS requirements and communicate operating/critical envelope limits for operated wells.
• Review/verify QA/QC relevant to WIMS and share well production and operations programs.
• Communicate and assure that the updated Well Integrity standards and manuals are properly adopted by field production and operations.
• Review reports of Well Integrity testing and track remedial actions to ensure all outstanding Well Integrity issues are captured in the well‑integrity database for mitigating solutions in a timely manner.
• Communicate the analysis and trends of integrity threats to field involved parties and management.
• Ensure that verified well integrity lessons learned are captured and communicated to production and operations concerned parties.
• Ensure all Well Integrity works are managed either rig‑lessly and/or being captured in wells prognosis and work over programs.
• Provide onsite technical assistance to Field Operation & Wireline Operations during critical rig‑less well operations and advise appropriate troubleshooting for operational and technical integrity problems.
• Ensure field production and operations perform work in accordance with the company’s established standards, rules, regulations and approved procedures and intervene to stop unsafe acts and practices.
• Identify integrity opportunities; sustain integrity system improvements by recommending integrity best practices and capturing end‑user feedback.
• Provide assurance to field production and operation, by coordinating with WI and with Engineering & Projects to ensure compliance with integrity requirements of the new projects (assistance in the preparation of SOW & interpretation of integrity requirements & deliverables).
• Conduct the compliance audit of the field operational activities like Wireline Intervention, Wellhead Testing, Logging, Communication Investigations, Bleed‑off Surveys.
• Identify and plan preventive maintenance in coordination with site according to WIMS frequencies.
• Review cement bond and corrosion logs and evaluate barrier envelope and production casing condition.
• Evaluate the well construction integrity in all new and old wells and risk‑rank them for further remedial actions.

• Plan, supervise and coordinate all activities in the assigned area to meet functional objectives.
• Train and develop the assigned staff on relevant skills to enable them to become proficient on the job and deliver the respective section objectives.

• Provide input for preparation of the functional budgets and assist in the implementation of the approved budget and work plans to deliver section objectives.
• Investigate and highlight any significant variances to support effective performance and cost control.
