Data Center Project Manager – UAE National Only, Critical Projects Implementation (CPI)

AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure.

We will collaborate with a diverse team of engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, and operations managers across AWS to meet safety, security, and capacity goals while keeping costs low.

• Project management and oversight of construction activities related to modifying existing infrastructure for new installation or replacement of end‑of‑life equipment, including ownership of scope, timeline, and budget.
• Provide project management for initiatives that increase the resiliency of our data centers.
• Electrical design and review of designs associated with the optimization of existing data centers.
• Construction / project package drawing review.
• Creation of project scope, request for proposals, and capital requests.
• Ensure total project quality, including commissioning plan creation and execution oversight.
• Record and report key metrics to team members and management.
• Operational support by reviewing procedures, best practices, and maintenance initiatives.
• Drive teams to perform troubleshooting and root‑cause failure analysis for equipment or electrical failures.
• Work with contractors and vendors to deliver efficient and high‑quality project turnovers.
• Lead within the group and across internal and external teams that support the data center.

The Project Manager leads multidiscipline collaboration to design, build, and operate Amazon data facilities, improving electrical, mechanical, fire detection, and building automation systems while ensuring projects align with company strategy and goals.

• 3+ years of vendor management experience.
• 4+ years of relevant experience in a data center or critical environment.
• 5+ years of data center engineering or operations experience.
• 5+ years of experience with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.

• 3+ years of construction or project management experience.
• Electrical or mechanical Journeyman license.
• Operating engineering license such as DC II, DC III, or equivalent.
