Job Description Overview
AtkinsRéalis is looking for a Cost Estimator in Abu Dhabi, UAE.
Your role will lead the preparation of pre‑contract cost estimates, cost plans, and benchmarking for large‑scale infrastructure projects. You will develop and manage Bills of Quantities (BoQs) and pre‑tender estimates using CESSM and other industry standards. In addition, you will support the development of procurement strategies, including packaging, tendering, and contract formation. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure alignment between design intent and cost objectives, prepare and review tender documentation, conduct market analysis, engage with the supply chain, and assist in risk, value, and cost control functions.

- Develop and manage Bills of Quantities (BoQs) and pre‑tender estimates using CESSM and industry standards.
- Support procurement strategy development, including packaging, tendering, and contract formation.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to align design intent and cost objectives.
- Prepare and review tender documentation, pricing schedules, and contract conditions.
- Conduct market analysis and engage with supply chain to inform cost data and procurement planning.
- Assist in risk and value management and cost control functions.
- Identify, analyse, and develop responses to commercial risks.
- Attend and represent at commercial meetings.
- Minimum 8years of relevant experience.
- At least 3years of experience in the Middle East.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related discipline.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
- Proven English‑language technical writing ability.
- Experience in pre‑contract quantity surveying for infrastructure and civil engineering projects.
- Preference for experience with major international events (e.g., expos, sports events, cultural festivals).
