Job Title: Switchgear Specialist
Project Duration: 1 Year (Extendable)
Work Schedule- Monday – Thursday
- 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Full-Time Onsite
We are looking for an experienced Switchgear Specialist to support the assessment, troubleshooting, reliability improvement and maintenance of EHV, HV, MV and LV Switchgear systems across ADNOC Refining facilities.
The role involves condition assessment, obsolescence review, preventive maintenance, shutdown support and technical recommendations for improving electrical system reliability.
Key Responsibilities- Perform detailed inspections of HV, MV and LV switch gear.
- Conduct condition assessments and health monitoring
- Review recent electrical failures and equipment trips
- Perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
- Review maintenance history and equipment reliability.
- Assess End-of-Life equipment and recommend upgrades.
- Review SF6 gas systems and circuit breaker mechanisms.
- Inspect busbars, bus ducts and switch gear assemblies.
- Review spare parts availability.
- Prepare technical reports and recommendations.
- Maintain SAP PM/EAM records.
- Support emergency breakdown activities.
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Minimum 15 years of experience in Oil & Gas, Refinery or Petrochemical industries.
- Extensive experience with:
- 415V Switchgear
- 3.3kV Switchgear
- 11kV Switchgear
- 33kV Switchgear
- 132kV Switchgear
- 220kV Switchgear
- Hands-on experience with ABB, Siemens, Schneider Electric, Hyundai, Hyosung and L&T switch gear.
- Strong knowledge of IEC, IEEE and ADNOC electrical standards.
- Experience with SAP PM/EAM.
- ADNOC experience.
- Shutdown maintenance experience.
