Senior Corrosion Engineer – Abu Dhabi
Provide specialist corrosion engineering support for ADNOC Upstream Onshore projects during the FEED, Detailed Engineering, and EPC phases. The role is primarily office-based and involves developing corrosion control strategies, material selection, corrosion monitoring, and integrity management solutions to ensure the safe, reliable, and cost-effective operation of upstream oil and gas facilities, including Early Production Facilities (EPF).
Qualifications- Bachelor's Degree in Metallurgical Engineering, Materials Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Master's Degree is an advantage.
- Professional certifications such as NACE CP (AMPP) or equivalent are highly desirable.
- Minimum 15 years of corrosion engineering experience in the Oil & Gas industry.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in PMC projects.
- Mandatory experience in FEED, Detailed Engineering, and EPC phases of upstream Oil & Gas projects.
- Experience in ADNOC Group projects.
- Strong practical experience in Upstream Oil & Gas and Early Production Facilities (EPF) projects is mandatory.
- Experience in brownfield modifications and operating facilities is highly desirable.
- Experience supporting sour gas and high-pressure/high-temperature (HPHT) facilities is an advantage.
- Corrosion engineering and integrity management.
- Material selection for upstream oil and gas facilities.
- Sour service material selection in accordance with NACE MR0175 / ISO 15156.
- Knowledge of NACE SP0169, API 571, API 580, API 581, API 570, API 574, API 579, API RP 939, and relevant ADNOC engineering standards.
- Corrosion monitoring techniques, corrosion inhibition, cathodic protection principles, and internal corrosion management.
- Risk-Based Inspection (RBI) methodologies and corrosion assessment.
- Material selection for piping, pipelines, pressure vessels, tanks, and process equipment.
- Familiarity with corrosion modelling software and engineering applications.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and engineering document management systems.
