Job Overview
We are looking for an experienced Site Service Engineer to support the installation, testing, commissioning, and maintenance of Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs) and Soft Starts for industrial applications.
Key Responsibilities- Test, calibrate, and service VFDs and soft starters, including startup, pre‑commissioning, commissioning, and warranty work.
- Perform component replacement, testing, and calibration on customer drive products.
- Provide technical support and product training to customers through on‑site audits and documentation.
- Interpret technical drawings and IEC/ANSI codes for drive schematics.
- Support service for Schneider equipment such as electrical switch gear, PDUs, RPPs, BMS systems, PLCs, HMIs, drives, power monitoring equipment, and protective relays.
- Document all required information for each site, creating technical reports, Maintenance Operating Sheets (MOS), and risk assessments.
- Analyze complex equipment problems, isolate faults using mechanical, electrical, and electronic knowledge, and develop design modifications.
- Implement modifications and provide installation support.
- Develop and deliver training courseware to customers and internal teams.
- Travel for training and to support job site requirements for both offshore and onshore locations.
- Degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering.
- 5–8 years’ experience in installation, testing, commissioning, and maintenance of VFDs and soft starters.
- Strong communication and interfacing skills.
- Ability to work onsite with flexible hours, including onshore and offshore assignments.
- Digital experience and proficiency with digital tools per Schneider Electric policy.
- Certification or training on low‑voltage drive systems (ATV 1200, ATV 600, ATV 6100, LV drive systems).
- Proficiency with Windows, MS Office, and related test equipment and relay software.
- Knowledge of LV specialization software.
Positions are available both onshore and offshore. Candidates must be willing to travel for training and support duties.
