What You Will Do
The Fixed Site Antenna Mast Group (FSAMG) Engineer shall be responsible for PMCS, organizational repair, and organizational maintenance of all communications equipment located at eight (8) FSAMG sites, as well as the Air Operations Center (AOC) and Alternative Air Operations Center (AAOC). The FSAMG Engineer shall provide technical advice, assistance, and demonstration of methods to UAE military personnel for the testing, maintenance, repair, configuration, and operation of all PATRIOT communications and related equipment within the FSAMG and AOC/AAOC.
The FSAMG Engineer is responsible for monitoring, reporting on, maintenance, and configuration of FSAMG building equipment, FSAMG tower equipment, UHF/VHF radios, COMSEC, IP Routers, Servers, cabling, etc. The FSAMG Engineer shall be able to configure replacement CISCO Integrated Service Routers and CISCO Call Management Servers, troubleshoot and test the complex routing and connectivity and install site-specific configurations to Routers/Switches/Servers. The FSAMG Engineer shall be knowledgeable in configuration and operation of multiple Network Analyzers and troubleshooting networks using manual and automated means.
The FSAMG Engineer shall assist in the coordination of maintenance/repairs with Battalion and CMF personnel. The FSAMG Engineer shall advise on communications planning for fixed sites and tactical deployments. The FSAMG Engineer shall also be responsible for Tower Mounted UHF/VHF equipment that requires certification as a Communications Tower Worker.
This assignment is located in Abu Dhabi, UAE. This assignment is for short term only.
Qualifications You Must Have- Demonstrated knowledge, experience and/or training in the monitoring, operation, test, fault verification, maintenance and repair of the PATRIOT FSAMG equipment, including IT system network equipment and components, UHF, and VHF radio hardware and test equipment.
- Ability to configure, operate and restore network operational components, including routers/switches and servers.
- Ability to configure replacement CISCO Integrated Service Routers and CISCO Call Management Servers, troubleshoot and test the complex routing and connectivity and install site-specific configurations to Routers / Switches / Servers.
- Knowledgeable in configuration and operation of multiple Network Analyzers and troubleshooting networks using manual and automated means.
- Produce reports on equipment status and provide analysis for network requirements / improvements / modifications. The CTA FSAMG Engineer shall be both CCNA and Windows Server 7 qualified.
- Certification as a Communications Tower Worker.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
- Previous experience in International Patriot FMS Programs.
- Experience living and working in an overseas location.
- Skilled in troubleshooting and repair of the SINCGARS, MIDS terminals, JTIDS and similar type radios.
- Experience with ATDL-1, Link-11, Link-16, and PADIL operations.
- Demonstrated experience or working knowledge of CPX-200/300, MLT- 220, and international Digital Switch Multiplexing Equipment.
- Knowledge in the repair of secure digital fiber optic links and networks.
Bachelor’s Degree with 5 years of related experience, or Associates Degree with 8 years’ experience or HS Diploma/GED with 12 years of related experience.
