Senior Resident Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Resident Engineer to join our dynamic team in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.

As a key member of our organization, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and managing large-scale construction projects, ensuring compliance with local regulations, and maintaining the highest standards of quality and efficiency.

• Lead and supervise the on-site engineering team, ensuring efficient project execution and adherence to timelines.
• Conduct regular inspections of workmanship and materials to maintain quality standards and compliance with project specifications.
• Coordinate with clients, contractors, and stakeholders to resolve technical issues and ensure project success.
• Review and approve shop drawings, material submittals, and change orders.
• Manage project budgets, schedules, and resources effectively, implementing innovative solutions to overcome challenges.
• Ensure compliance with UAE building codes, safety regulations, and environmental standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline project processes and enhance overall performance.
• Implement and oversee sustainable construction practices and LEED certification processes.
• Utilize BIM technology to improve project visualization, coordination, and efficiency.
• Mentor and develop junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and knowledge sharing.
• Prepare comprehensive technical reports and presentations for stakeholders.

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field;
Master's degree preferred.

• Minimum of 20 years of experience in building engineering, with a focus on managing large-scale projects.
• Proven track record in overseeing complex building projects in the Middle East.
• In-depth knowledge of UAE construction standards, regulations, and best practices.
• Strong understanding of building development, construction methodologies, and quality control processes.
• Excellent project management skills, including budget and schedule management.
• Advanced problem-solving and analytical abilities, with a keen eye for detail.
• Outstanding leadership and team management skills.
• Strong technical report writing and communication abilities.
• Experience working in a fast-paced environment and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
• Willingness to work on-site and travel as required for project needs.
• Familiarity with local building codes and regulations in the UAE.
• Ability to adapt to changing project requirements and implement innovative solutions.
