We are seeking an experienced Structural Designer to support the Design & Engineering team in delivering high-quality structural design solutions for offshore, marine, and industrial projects.

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Structural Designer to develop structural design deliverables, 3D models, fabrication drawings, and construction documentation in accordance with project specifications, client requirements, and applicable engineering standards. The successful candidate will work closely with engineering, production, and project teams to ensure accurate and timely delivery of engineering outputs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare structural design drawings based on customer requirements, applicable codes, standards, and project specifications.
  • Develop 3D models for feasibility studies, basic engineering, and detailed design using approved design software.
  • Prepare Structural General Arrangement (GA) drawings, support drawings, fabrication drawings, erection drawings, and construction details.
  • Develop fabrication sequences and lifting study drawings to support fabrication and site execution activities.
  • Perform 3D model clash detection and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to resolve design conflicts.
  • Prepare Material Take-Offs (MTOs) and Bills of Quantities (BOQs) to support estimation and procurement activities.
  • Review client specifications, design input documents, and engineering requirements.
  • Review drawings received from vendors and subcontractors for technical compliance and constructability.
  • Coordinate with Structural Engineers and other engineering disciplines to resolve design clashes, interface issues, and technical queries.
  • Provide technical support to production and construction teams by resolving fabrication and installation-related queries.
  • Maintain proper document control by organizing and storing engineering drawings for future retrieval and revision control.
  • Ensure all engineering deliverables comply with applicable codes, client specifications, quality requirements, and QHSE standards.
  • Support engineering activities throughout the project lifecycle and perform additional duties assigned by Engineering Management.
Qualifications & Experience

Education: Diploma in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.

Experience: Minimum 8 years of structural design experience, preferably 10–12 years within Oil & Gas, Offshore, Marine, EPC, or Heavy Fabrication projects.

Technical

Qualification:

Strong experience in structural detailing, 3D modelling, fabrication drawings, and engineering documentation. Knowledge of ADNOC specifications and international engineering standards is preferred.

Skills: Strong analytical, technical, communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills with the ability to work in multidisciplinary engineering teams.

Software: Proficient in AutoCAD, Tekla Structures, CADWorx (or equivalent 3D software), and MS Office.

Knowledge: Good understanding of structural steel design, fabrication methodologies, lifting studies, MTO preparation, BOQ development, engineering documentation, and construction practices.
