Operation Engineer

The Operation Engineer supports the Offshore Operations Equipment (VESEQUI) function by ensuring that mission equipment integration, operational methodologies, and field activities are designed and executed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with Company standards. The role provides technical and operational oversight from the preparation phase through offshore execution, contributing to continuous improvement, standardization, and operational readiness across projects.
Responsibilities- Provide technical reviews and operational input for methods, procedures and installation plans throughout tender, engineering and execution phases.
- Support offshore and onshore teams by advising on best practices, operational constraints and equipment readiness.
- Monitor work progress, ensuring alignment with HSE requirements.
- Liaise with Project Operations, Offshore Construction Managers and Asset teams.
- Participate in HAZID sessions, risk evaluations and lessons learned.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Naval, Offshore Engineering or equivalent.
Technical
Skills:
- Understanding of offshore construction methods and mission equipment operation.
- Knowledge of HSE and risk assessment methodologies.
- Ability to review technical documentation and installation plans.
- Coordination with multidisciplinary teams.
- Proficiency in reporting and operational documentation.
Soft Skills:
- Strong communication and teamwork.
- Flexibility, problem‑solving and proactiveness.
Languages:
- Fluent English;
Italian or French is an asset.
Experience:
- 3–5 years in offshore operations, construction support or marine/equipment operations.
- Field experience in offshore campaigns.
- Experience interfacing with project engineering and offshore construction crews.
