Key Responsibilities
- Configure, administer and maintain 3D design systems such as AVEVA E3D, PDMS, Hexagon Smart 3D, Navisworks.
- Ensure proper setup of project environments, databases, user access and permissions.
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues and coordinate with software vendors for resolutions.
- Support digital engineering and integration: integrate 3D tools with other engineering systems, enable interoperability between contractor systems and formats.
- Promote digital workflows aligned with ADNOC standards and project requirements.
- Manage and maintain the federated 3D model across all disciplines and contractors, ensuring consistency and compliance.
- Coordinate model exchanges and ensure timely updates from EPC contractors.
- Perform and manage clash detection using tools such as Navisworks.
- Facilitate model review sessions and workshops with stakeholders, track, report and ensure closure of clashes and design issues.
- Develop and enforce 3D modeling standards, procedures and best practices, ensuring compliance with ADNOC digital engineering and CAD standards.
- Provide training and technical support, develop user guides, and act as the focal point for 3D system queries.
- Support engineering construction and commissioning teams with 3D model usage, enable visualization, constructability reviews and simulation activities.
- Assist in generating 3D deliverables such as walkthroughs, renders and presentations.
- Ensure proper management of 3D data, including backups, version control and archiving, support digital handover to ADNOC.
- Track KPIs related to model quality, clash resolution and system performance, and provide regular reports to PMC management and ADNOC stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with ADNOC HSE and QA/QC requirements, support safe design practices via 3D modeling tools.
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, IT, Computer Science, or related discipline.
- Minimum 15 years of experience in engineering design and 3D applications within oil & gas projects.
- At least 5 years in a similar role within PMC/EPC environments.
- Proven experience on ADNOC or major Middle East projects.
- Hands‑on experience managing large, multi‑discipline 3D models.
- Relevant certifications in 3D applications are an advantage.
- Proficiency in AVEVA PDMS / E3D, Hexagon Smart 3D (SP3D), Navisworks / Autodesk tools.
- Strong understanding of engineering workflows and multi‑discipline coordination.
- Experience with clash detection, model federation, and data exchange formats.
- Familiarity with Common Data Environments (CDE) and document management systems.
- Knowledge of ADNOC standards and digital engineering requirements.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder coordination abilities.
- Ability to train and support multidisciplinary teams.
- Detail‑oriented with strong organizational skills.
- AVEVA / Hexagon certified user or administrator.
- PMP or equivalent project management certification.
- Relevant IT or digital engineering certifications.
