Interface Manager
- Offshore K is growing its Project Management Consultancy (PMC) team for an exciting, high profile offshore development in Abu Dhabi. The ADNOC PMC project role would be based initially in Client or Contractors Office in Abu Dhabi. The Interface Manager is responsible for identifying, managing, coordinating, and resolving all internal and external project interfaces associated with ADNOC Offshore projects. The role ensures seamless communication and integration between ADNOC Offshore, PMC, EPC contractors, subcontractors, vendors, licensors, and third-party stakeholders to achieve safe, timely, and cost-effective project delivery.
The Interface Manager plays a critical role in mitigating interface risks, preventing scope gaps, avoiding schedule delays, and ensuring alignment across multidisciplinary teams throughout engineering, procurement, construction, installation, commissioning, and startup phases.
Interface Management Develop, implement, and maintain the Project Interface Management Plan. Establish and manage the Interface Register for all project interfaces. Identify and track internal and external interfaces throughout the project lifecycle. Ensure effective coordination between engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and operations teams. Facilitate resolution of interface issues and elevate critical matters when required.
Client & Stakeholder CoordinationServe as the primary focal point for interface matters with: ADNOC Offshore Project Management Consultant (PMC) EPC Contractors Vendors and Suppliers Subcontractors Operations and Asset Teams Regulatory Authorities Manage stakeholder expectations and ensure effective communication across all parties. Organize and lead interface coordination meetings.
Engineering Interface ManagementCoordinate multidisciplinary engineering interfaces including:
Process Mechanical Piping Electrical Instrumentation Telecom Civil & Structural Ensure interface requirements are clearly defined and communicated. Monitor engineering deliverables affecting interface points and ensure timely closure of actions. Coordinate management of technical queries and design clarifications.
Manage interfaces related to:
Existing ADNOC Offshore facilities Brownfield modifications Offshore platforms Subsea facilities Pipelines and cable systems SIMOPS activities Shutdown and tie-in works Coordinate with Operations and Asset Teams to ensure minimal disruption to production facilities.
Monitor interface-related risks and opportunities. Ensure interface activities are incorporated into project schedules. Track interface deliverables and milestones. Develop mitigation plans for potential interface conflicts. Support project risk assessments and management reviews.
Change ManagementSupport Management of Change (MOC) processes for interface-related modifications. Evaluate interface impacts arising from design changes, scope changes, and technical deviations. Ensure all interface changes are properly documented and communicated.
Procurement & Vendor ManagementCoordinate interfaces between EPC teams and equipment suppliers. Review vendor deliverables affecting multiple project disciplines. Ensure timely resolution of vendor technical issues impacting project execution. Support expediting and procurement teams on critical interface matters.
Construction & Commissioning SupportCoordinate construction-related interfaces between contractors and ADNOC Offshore operational assets. Ensure interface requirements are addressed before mechanical completion and commissioning. Support pre-commissioning, commissioning, startup, and handover activities. Coordinate tie-in and shutdown interface planning.
Documentation & ReportingMaintain comprehensive interface registers and action trackers. Prepare interface management reports and dashboards. Track interface KPIs and progress status. Present interface performance updates to project leadership and ADNOC Offshore representatives.
