We are looking for an experienced MEP Quantity Surveyor to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for quantity take-offs, BOQ preparation and verification, cost estimation, contract administration, variation orders, progress billing, and commercial management for Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) projects.
Key Responsibilities- Review and verify BOQs, tender documents, and contract specifications for MEP works.
- Prepare accurate quantity take-offs for Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing systems.
- Prepare cost estimates, budgets, and project cost analyses.
- Monitor project costs and ensure work is completed within budget.
- Prepare and submit monthly progress claims, interim payment applications, and payment certificates.
- Evaluate and prepare variation orders (VOs) and change orders.
- Review subcontractor quotations, claims, and payment applications.
- Coordinate with Project Managers, Site Engineers, Consultants, and Clients on commercial matters.
- Monitor material procurement and reconcile quantities with site progress.
- Prepare monthly cost reports, cash flow forecasts, and Cost-to-Complete (CTC) reports.
- Ensure compliance with contract terms, project specifications, and commercial procedures.
- Maintain accurate records of project costs, variations, and contractual documentation.
- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.
- 5+ years of experience as an MEP Quantity Surveyor in construction projects (Mandatory).
- Strong knowledge of Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing systems.
- Experience in BOQ preparation, quantity take-offs, cost estimation, contract administration, and project commercial management.
- Experience with variation orders, progress billing, and subcontract management.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, AutoCAD, and QS/ERP software is preferred.
- Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
