Chemical Process Engineer

We are a leading chemical company based in Abu Dhabi and we are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chemical Process Engineer to join our team. As a Chemical Process Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and optimizing chemical processes, ensuring their safety and efficiency.

• Conducting research to develop new processes or improve existing ones
• Designing and implementing process improvements to increase efficiency and productivity
• Analyzing data from experiments and pilot plant operations to optimize process performance
• Troubleshooting process issues and proposing solutions
• Ensuring compliance with safety regulations and environmental standards
• Collaborating with other engineers, technicians, and production personnel to plan, design, and implement new processes or equipment modifications
• Monitoring production processes to identify areas for improvement
• Providing technical support to plant operations during start-up, shutdowns, and emergencies
• Conducting feasibility studies for new projects or process changes
• Developing operating procedures for new processes
• Participating in HAZOP studies and providing recommendations for risk reduction

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Chemical Process Engineer in the chemical industry.
• Knowledge of process simulation software such as Aspen Plus or HYSYS.
• Familiarity with P&IDs, PFDs, and other engineering drawings.
• Strong understanding of chemical engineering principles.
• Experience with process optimization techniques.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and environmental standards.
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
• Excellent communication skills in English.
