- Excellent knowledge of surveying techniques and principles
- Ability to use specialised surveying software
- Good communication skills and ability to work in a team
- Collecting data from different sources for land surveys
- Recording measurements of land features using specialist equipment such as theodolites, EDMs, GPS systems etc.
- Assisting in the preparation of plans, maps, charts and reports from survey data
- Making calculations for boundary points for topographical surveys
- Assisting in the preparation of tenders and quotations for survey work
