Job Description:
Penspen is hiring an experienced Senior Planning Engineer with strong PMC experience to join our team in Abu Dhabi. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, monitoring, and controlling project schedules, ensuring engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning activities are executed in line with project objectives and contractual requirements.
Key Responsibilities- Develop, maintain, and update integrated project schedules for FEED and Detailed Engineering projects using Primavera P6.
- Review and monitor EPC contractor schedules to ensure alignment with project milestones, contractual requirements, and client expectations.
- Prepare project baselines, progress measurement systems, critical path analyses, look-ahead schedules, and recovery plans.
- Monitor engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning progress, identifying schedule risks and recommending corrective actions.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary engineering teams, EPC contractors, vendors, and client representatives to ensure timely project delivery.
- Prepare weekly and monthly planning reports, dashboards, S-curves, progress updates, and KPI reports for management and clients.
- Conduct schedule risk analysis, delay analysis, and impact assessments for scope changes and engineering revisions.
- Participate in project review meetings, progress meetings, and management presentations.
- Support project controls activities including forecasting, change management, and earned value analysis.
- Ensure compliance with project planning procedures, client standards, and PMC governance requirements.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
- 15+ years of oil & gas experience in the oil and gas industry.
- 5+ years in PMC projects
- Solid background in multi‑discipline engineering team EPC project.
- Experience managing FEED, detailed design, and EPC project phases.
- Strong experience in greenfield & brownfield terminal and facilities upgrade projects.
- Proficient in Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project; familiarity with project control and reporting tools is an advantage.
- Strong knowledge of engineering workflows, EPC project execution, scheduling methodologies, and critical path analysis.
- Experience preparing recovery schedules, delay analysis, and project performance reporting.
- PMP, PSP (Planning & Scheduling Professional), or equivalent certification is an advantage.
- GCC/Middle East oil & gas project experience is preferred.
