Job Description Sr. Commissioning Engineer (I&C) - Offshore, WHT, Subsea & Piping

Penspen are looking for a dynamic Sr. Commissioning Engineer (I&C) - Offshore, WHTs, Subsea & Piping, BFs for one of our Offshore PMC projects in Abu Dhabi.
Qualification Required- The candidates should have Bachelor’s Degree in Instrumentation/ Control Systems/ Electrical & Electronics Engineering from an accredited university.
- Execute Instrumentation & Control (I&C) commissioning activities for offshore oil & gas projects, including Wellhead Towers (WHTs), offshore platforms, subsea cable and pipeline developments, and brownfield modifications
- Responsible for ensuring that all instrumentation, control, automation, and integrated control systems are installed, tested, commissioned, validated, and handed over safely in compliance with project specifications, international standards, and operational requirements
- Acts as the focal point for all I&C commissioning activities and plays a critical role in achieving safe startup, operational readiness, and successful handover to operations.
- Develop I&C Commissioning Execution Plans, procedures, test protocols, and commissioning schedules.
- Review engineering deliverables, control philosophies, instrument datasheets, logic diagrams, loop drawings, and system architecture drawings.
- Define commissioning system boundaries and handover strategies.
- Participate in HAZID, HAZOP, SIL reviews, constructability reviews, and operational readiness assessments.
- Support commissioning systemization and subsystem breakdown structures.
- Prepare commissioning dossiers and turnover documentation requirements.
- Commission instrumentation and control systems on offshore Wellhead Towers (WHTs).
- Verify communication and control interfaces between WHTs and central processing facilities.
- Support offshore hook-up and commissioning campaigns.
- Support commissioning of subsea control system interfaces.
- Develop and execute cutover and migration plans.
- Review Mechanical Completion (MC) dossiers.
- Support incident investigations and corrective action implementation
- Resolve technical issues affecting commissioning and startup activities.
- Minimum 15+ years of experience, with at least 5 years significant in offshore project.
- Proven dedicated experience in I&C commissioning experience
- Experience in Commissioning of Offshore platforms, Wellhead Towers (WHTs), Jackets and topsides, Brownfield offshore facilities
- Preferred experience from PMC/EPC Background.
- Previous ADNOC Offshore Experience is advantage.
