Job Description

We're looking for a detail-oriented and professional Electrical Inspector to join our dynamic team in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. In this role, you will conduct comprehensive inspections of electrical installations and systems, ensuring full compliance with local electrical codes and international safety standards. You will work collaboratively with contractors, engineers, and project teams to maintain the highest standards of electrical safety and quality.

  • Conduct thorough and systematic inspections of electrical installations, systems, and equipment to verify compliance with Abu Dhabi electrical regulations, ADWEA standards, EWEC requirements, and international safety standards
  • Analyze electrical drawings, plans, and specifications to identify potential issues and ensure proper implementation before work commences
  • Perform electrical testing using specialized equipment and diagnostic tools, documenting all test results and findings in detailed, professional inspection reports
  • Identify code violations, safety hazards, and deficiencies, communicating corrective actions clearly and transparently to relevant stakeholders
  • Coordinate effectively with project managers, engineers, contractors, and site teams to resolve electrical issues and ensure timely project progression
  • Supervise electrical contractors and workers on-site, ensuring strict adherence to safety protocols, quality standards, and project specifications
  • Maintain organized and comprehensive records of all inspections, test results, certifications, and compliance documentation
  • Provide professional recommendations for electrical system improvements and safety enhancements based on analytical findings
  • Communicate inspection findings clearly and professionally to project teams and management, ensuring all parties understand compliance status
  • Stay current with evolving electrical codes, regulations, and industry best practices in the UAE
Qualifications
  • Minimum 6 years of professional experience in electrical inspection and site supervision
  • Comprehensive knowledge of electrical systems, components, and installation practices
  • Thorough understanding of Abu Dhabi and UAE electrical codes, regulations, and safety standards
  • Valid electrical inspection license or certification recognized in the UAE
  • Proficiency with electrical testing equipment and diagnostic tools
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Proven ability to coordinate and collaborate with multiple stakeholders, including contractors and engineers
  • Proficiency in report writing and technical documentation
  • Organized and methodical approach to managing multiple inspections and site activities
  • Demonstrated knowledge of ADWEA and EWEC standards
  • Ability to identify and communicate safety hazards and code violations effectively
  • Preferred:
    Experience with CAD software or electrical design programs
  • Preferred:
    Project management experience or relevant certifications
