Structural Design Engineer

Role

Purpose:

Develop and deliver offshore structural design and drafting outputs, including 3D models, drawings, and fabrication-ready documentation, ensuring compliance with project requirements, industry standards, and constructability needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare, review, and maintain offshore structural drawings, layouts, 3D models, and MTOs.
• Develop detailed structural design deliverables for offshore facilities, including jackets, topsides, modules, bridges, and support structures.
• Update models and drawings based on engineering inputs, project changes, and design reviews.
• Coordinate with structural engineers and multidisciplinary teams to resolve design interfaces and model clashes.
• Support constructability reviews, fabrication activities, and installation planning.
• Assist with MTO extraction, drawing coordination, and document management.
• Ensure drawing quality, accuracy, consistency, and compliance with project standards and procedures.
• Support fabrication and installation documentation requirements.
• Provide guidance to junior designers and check design deliverables (Senior level).

Qualifications &

Experience:

• Diploma or Degree in Engineering, Structural Design, Drafting, or a related discipline.
• Relevant experience in offshore structural design and drafting projects.
• Proficiency in 3D modeling and design software preferred.
• Knowledge of offshore structural drawing standards, detailing practices, and MTO preparation.
• Strong coordination, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience in offshore oil & gas, marine, or renewable energy projects is an advantage.
