- Schedule and perform calibration of critical and non-critical process equipment and laboratory standards
- Complete all required calibration documentation
- Coordinate repair and calibration services with external vendors
- Assist with purchase order processing
- Implement new Standard Operation Procedures related to internal calibrations
- Recommend and revise SOPs to advance laboratory capability toward a Type 1 Standards Calibration Laboratory
- Participate in calibration system audits
- Provide responsive customer service
- Conduct staff certification training
- Perform maintenance activities supporting the UAE according to U.S. Army maintenance concepts, practices, and procedures under AR 750-1
- Transfer calibration task knowledge to UAE military Calibration Technicians through on-the-job training
- Facilitate UAE Calibration Technicians becoming self-sufficient in PATRIOT calibration support activities
- Strong background in digital electronics and RF/Microwave
- Minimum 4 years of experience calibrating electronic equipment
- Deep understanding of measurement, calibration, and instrumentation principles and concepts
- Meticulous attention to measurement accuracy and established procedures
- Ability to document work and ensure measurements are accurate and reliable
- Proficiency with computers and relevant software applications
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government-issued security clearance
- Active and transferable U.S. government-issued security clearance required prior to start date
- U.S. citizenship required because only U.S. citizens are eligible for the security clearance
- Familiarity with measuring equipment and its operation, maintenance, and calibration requirements
Strong foundation in mathematics - Previous experience in International Patriot FMS Programs preferred
- Experience living and working overseas preferred
- Demonstrated Contractor Logistics Support experience preferred
- Required education/experience alternative: bachelor’s degree in engineering or 5 years of relevant experience, or associate’s degree in engineering/applied science or 6 years of relevant experience, or high school graduate with 8 years of relevant experience
Demonstrates expertise in calibration processes and standards, with a strong foundation in digital electronics and RF/Microwave. Capable of training and transferring knowledge to military technicians while ensuring compliance with U.S. Army maintenance practices.
