Role Description The Site Civil Engineer (Fit Out projects) is a full-time, on-site role based in Abu Dhabi, responsible for overseeing civil works associated with interior fit out projects in commercial projects.

The role includes reviewing drawings and specifications, coordinating with design and MEP teams, and ensuring that modifications, partition layouts, floor finishes, and related civil works comply with design standards and local regulations. The engineer monitors daily site activities, supervises subcontractors, prepares work schedules, and ensures materials and methods meet quality, safety, and environmental requirements. Responsibilities also involve managing site inspections, resolving technical issues, maintaining progress reports, and supporting project managers with planning, cost control, and timely delivery of fit out milestones.

Close coordination with clients, consultants, and authorities is expected to ensure clear communication and smooth project execution.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in Civil Engineering and Civil Engineering Design, with the ability to interpret finishing and architectural drawings for fit out works.
• Experience working as Civil Engineers on building construction or interior fit out projects, preferably within F&B and commercial environments.
• Proficiency in Planning, including sequencing of activities, resource allocation, and preparation of work schedules and progress reports.
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related field from an accredited institution (Architecture).
• Familiarity with UAE building codes, local authority requirements, and industry standards for safety and quality.
• Ability to use engineering and drafting software (e.g., AutoCAD, basic BIM tools) and standard office applications for documentation and reporting.
• Strong communication and coordination skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and manage subcontractors on site.
• Demonstrated attention to detail, problem‑solving capability, and commitment to safe work practices.
