Assistant Resident Engineer - MEP
Job Description:

Qualification & Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized university.
- Minimum
12-15 years of relevant experience
in construction and maintenance of roads, infrastructure. - At least7 years' experience
in a supervisory role as Assistant Resident Engineer or similar position. - Prior experience on
UAE-based projects
with approved consultants is preferred. - Familiarity with local authority standards (AACM, ADQCC, TAQA) is an advantage.
- Previous Approval from TAQA-D
- Assist the Resident Engineer in supervising construction and maintenance works in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
- Monitor contractor performance, work progress, quality, and compliance with HSE requirements.
- Review shop drawings, method statements, material submittals, and inspection requests.
- Coordinate with site inspectors, surveyors, and laboratory teams to ensure quality standards are met.
- Maintain site records, daily reports, and assist in preparation of progress reports.
- Liaise with contractors, subcontractors, and relevant authorities as required.
- Support in identifying site issues, proposing corrective actions, and ensuring timely resolution.
- Ensure works are executed within approved timelines and budget constraints.
Competencies:
- Strong technical knowledge of civil works, especially roads and infrastructure.
- Good communication, coordination, and reporting skills.
- Ability to work independently under the guidance of the Resident Engineer.
- Proficient in MS Office and familiar with AutoCAD; experience with project management tools is an advantage.
