BIM Coordinator - MEP; Walk-In 5th Swiss hotel

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage BIM activities for MEP disciplines throughout the project lifecycle
• Develop review and maintain coordinated MEP BIM models in accordance with project requirements and BIM Execution Plans
• Coordinate HVAC electrical plumbing drainage firefighting fire alarm ELV BMS and other MEP systems
• Review architectural structural civil and MEP models to identify design conflicts and interface issues
• Conduct regular clash detection and prepare clash reports using BIM coordination software
• Coordinate with MEP Engineers BIM Modelers architects structural engineers civil teams consultants and subcontractors to resolve clashes
• Lead multidisciplinary coordination meetings and track closure of identified clashes and technical issues
• Ensure BIM models are developed in accordance with approved drawings specifications design intent and project standards
• Review MEP shop drawings and ensure consistency between BIM models and approved design documentation
• Coordinate model updates resulting from design changes RFIs site instructions and approved variations
• Ensure accurate integration of MEP models with architectural and structural models
• Monitor model quality accuracy naming conventions file structures coordinates levels and other BIM standards
• Ensure compliance with project-specific BIM Execution Plans Level of Development LOD requirements naming conventions and information standards
• Support preparation and submission of BIM deliverables to clients consultants and project management teams
• Maintain federated models and ensure all discipline models are properly coordinated and synchronized
• Review MEP routing equipment locations access requirements maintenance clearances ceiling coordination shafts plant rooms and service zones
• Support constructability reviews and identify potential installation or maintenance issues before site execution
• Coordinate with site teams to verify BIM models against actual site conditions and incorporate approved changes
• Support preparation of coordinated shop drawings builders-work drawings sleeves openings drawings and installation drawings
• Assist in extracting quantities schedules layouts and other information from BIM models where required
• Maintain BIM issue registers clash logs coordination trackers and model review records
• Ensure timely resolution and closure of BIM coordination issues
• Support preparation of as-built BIM models and final digital handover documentation
• Coordinate with document control teams to maintain proper revision management and BIM documentation
• Provide technical guidance to BIM Modelers and support the BIM Manager BIM Lead in project coordination activities
• Ensure BIM models and deliverables are properly archived and maintained throughout the project
• Participate in BIM audits and quality reviews and implement corrective actions
• Promote BIM best practices standardization automation and continuous improvement across projects
• Strong knowledge of MEP systems and multidisciplinary BIM coordination.
• Good understanding of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, firefighting, fire alarm, ELV, BMS, and associated building services.
• Strong proficiency in Autodesk Revit MEP.
• Experience with Navisworks Manage for clash detection and coordination.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD and other BIM/design coordination tools.
• Strong understanding of BIM Execution Plans, LOD, model federation, clash detection, and information management.
• Ability to read and interpret MEP, architectural, structural, and civil drawings.
• Strong understanding of MEP installation and constructability requirements.
• Good knowledge of BIM standards, workflows, naming conventions, and model quality requirements.
• Strong coordination, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple coordination issues and meet project deadlines.
• Knowledge of Dynamo, BIM automation, or other digital tools will be an advantage.

• Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, MEP Engineering, BIM, or a related discipline.
• 5–8 years of relevant experience in BIM coordination, preferably within MEP, construction, engineering, or EPC projects.
• Strong hands-on experience in Revit MEP and Navisworks.
• Proven experience coordinating multidisciplinary BIM models for large-scale projects.
• Experience with clash detection, model review, shop drawing coordination, and construction-stage BIM support.
• UAE/GCC experience is preferred.
• Experience working on projects in Dubai and Abu Dhabi will be an advantage.
• Familiarity with UAE BIM standards and authority requirements will be preferred.
• Relevant BIM certification such as Autodesk Certified Professional, Revit certification, or equivalent will be an added advantage.
