- Prepare and optimize drilling programs to ensure safe and efficient operations.
- Develop and implement innovative drilling techniques and technologies.
- Examine and analyze drilling data to identify areas for improvement.
- Lead troubleshooting efforts to resolve operational challenges during drilling activities.
- Review and advise on casing design and material selection for various drilling projects.
- Execute well suspension and abandonment plans in compliance with industry standards.
- Advise on blowout contingency plans and hazard identification strategies.
- Analyze subsurface pressures, borehole stability, and rock mechanics to ensure drilling integrity.
- Develop and review cementing design and operations for optimal well integrity.
- Supervise directional drilling and anticollision strategies to ensure safety and accuracy.
- Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in drilling engineering or related roles.
- Certification in Well Control (e.g., IWCF or IADC) is required. Additional certifications in drilling operations are preferred.
