Develop maintain and update detailed project schedules in coordination with project engineering procurement construction and commissioning teams Prepare baseline schedules in line with contractual requirements project scope execution strategies and approved milestones Develop detailed work breakdown structures WBS activity lists logic networks resource requirements and project timelines Prepare and maintain engineering procurement construction testing commissioning and handover schedules Monitor actual project progress against approved baseline schedules and identify deviations delays and potential schedule risks Collect and validate progress information from site teams subcontractors engineering procurement and other project functions Prepare weekly monthly and periodic progress reports dashboards S-curves histograms and other planning reports Track critical path activities and monitor near-critical activities to identify potential impacts on project completion Prepare look-ahead schedules recovery schedules catch-up plans and mitigation strategies as required Analyze schedule delays and support the preparation of time-impact analyses and extension-of-time documentation Monitor engineering deliverables material procurement approvals manufacturing delivery construction and commissioning activities against planned dates Coordinate with procurement teams to track material and equipment procurement schedules and identify potential delays Coordinate with construction teams to monitor manpower equipment productivity and work-front availability Review subcontractor schedules and progress updates and ensure alignment with the overall project schedule Maintain accurate records of planned versus actual progress and highlight areas requiring management attention Conduct schedule reviews and progress meetings with project teams consultants clients and subcontractors Prepare and maintain resource-loaded schedules manpower histograms equipment plans and productivity reports where required Monitor project milestones contractual dates key deliverables and interface activities Identify schedule risks and constraints and work with project teams to develop mitigation and recovery actions Assist in evaluating the impact of design changes variations procurement delays site constraints and other events on project schedules Support project management teams in developing realistic execution plans and recovery strategies Track approvals RFIs technical submissions material submittals inspections and other activities that may affect project progress Monitor subcontractor productivity and compare planned versus actual performance Prepare progress measurement systems and ensure consistent methods are used across project activities Maintain project planning databases and ensure timely updating of schedule information Support preparation of management presentations progress reviews and project performance reports Assist in forecasting project completion dates and identifying potential schedule slippage Ensure planning and reporting activities comply with project procedures and contractual requirements Support project close-out by monitoring completion of outstanding activities punch lists testing commissioning documentation and handover requirements Strong knowledge of project planning and scheduling principles.
Good understanding of engineering and construction project execution.
Strong knowledge of WBS, critical path, baseline schedules, progress measurement, and schedule analysis.
Ability to develop and maintain detailed engineering and construction schedules.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Good understanding of engineering, procurement, construction, testing, commissioning, and handover processes.
Strong coordination skills with project, engineering, procurement, construction, and subcontractor teams.
Ability to analyze schedule variances, delays, and productivity trends.
Good reporting and presentation skills.
Proficiency in Primavera P6 and MS Project.
Good knowledge of MS Excel and project reporting tools.
Familiarity with S-curves, resource histograms, earned value, and progress measurement techniques.
Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
- 5–8 years of relevant experience in planning and project controls, preferably within engineering, construction, infrastructure, MEP, or EPC projects.
- Proven experience in developing and monitoring project schedules using Primavera P6.
- Experience in preparing baseline programs, look-ahead schedules, progress reports, recovery schedules, and schedule updates.
- Experience coordinating with multidisciplinary project teams, subcontractors, consultants, and clients.
- UAE/GCC project experience is preferred.
- Experience working on projects in Dubai and Abu Dhabi will be an advantage.
