K  Abu Dhabi PMC Team is currently seeking experienced professionals for the position listed below in support of a major Offshore Project. The role will be based at either the Client's Office or the Contractor's Office in Abu Dhabi, UAE.

Job Purpose

Lead and manage all HVAC engineering activities for ADNOC Offshore Greenfield projects during Concept, FEED, Detailed Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Commissioning, and Start-up phases. Ensure HVAC systems are designed and implemented in compliance with ADNOC Offshore standards, international engineering codes, offshore environmental requirements, safety regulations, and project objectives. The role is responsible for delivering reliable, safe, energy-efficient, and maintainable HVAC and pressurization systems for offshore facilities including Wellhead Towers, Central Processing Platforms (CPP), Utility Platforms, Living Quarters, Electrical Buildings, Telecom Shelters, and Process Facilities.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Leadership Lead HVAC engineering activities for offshore oil and gas projects. Manage and supervise HVAC engineers and designers. Ensure engineering deliverables are completed in accordance with project schedules and quality requirements. Provide technical guidance, mentoring, and support to project teams. Coordinate effectively with multidisciplinary engineering teams including Process, Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Telecom, Civil, Structural, and HSE disciplines. Participate in engineering reviews, model reviews, constructability reviews, and project meetings.

HVAC

System Design and Engineering

Develop HVAC Design Basis, Design Philosophy, and project specifications. Perform and review HVAC calculations including Cooling Load Calculations, Heating Load Calculations, Ventilation Calculations, Pressurization Studies, Equipment Sizing Calculations, Airflow Distribution Analysis. Design and review HVAC systems for Control Rooms, Electrical Substations, Telecom Rooms, Instrument Equipment Rooms, Analyzer Shelters, Utility Buildings, Living Quarters, Workshops, Warehouses, Process Buildings. Review and approve HVAC Layout Drawings, Duct Routing Layouts, Air Distribution Diagrams, Equipment Arrangement Drawings, Ventilation Schematics, Material Requisition s and Datasheets.

HVAC Equipment Engineering Review and approve specifications and datasheets for Air Handling Units (AHUs), Fresh Air Handling Units (FAHUs), Packaged HVAC Units, Chillers, Split and VRF Systems, Pressurization Units, Exhaust Fans, Smoke Extraction Systems, Ductwork Systems, HVAC Control Systems. Ensure equipment selection is suitable for offshore and hazardous-area applications.

Compliance and Safety

Ensure compliance with ADNOC Offshore Standards, ADNOC Engineering Specifications, ASHRAE Standards, SMACNA Standards, NFPA Standards, API Standards, ISO Standards, IEC Standards. Participate in HAZID Reviews, HAZOP Studies, Design Safety Reviews, Constructability Reviews, Model Reviews. Ensure HVAC systems adequately address Smoke Management, Emergency Ventilation, Hazardous Area Ventilation, Toxic Gas Protection, Building Pressurization Requirements, Fire and Gas System Interfaces.

Procurement and Vendor Management

Prepare and review technical requisitions. Conduct technical bid evaluations and vendor assessments. Review vendor documents, calculations, and drawings. Resolve technical queries and deviations. Participate in technical review meetings with suppliers and contractors. Witness Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) where required.

Construction and Commissioning Support

Provide engineering support during fabrication, construction, and offshore installation activities. Review site technical queries and recommend solutions. Support Mechanical Completion, Pre-Commissioning, Commissioning Performance Testing, Start-up Activities. Participate in FAT and SAT, HVAC Functional Testing, Performance Verification Testing.

Project Management

Monitor engineering progress against approved schedules. Support project cost control and resource planning. Identify risks and implement mitigation measures. Ensure compliance with quality assurance and control requirements. Coordinate closely with ADNOC Offshore representatives, EPC…
