Manage and supervise HV electrical works including strong power distribution systems transformers HV switch gear power cables and associated equipment strong Perform and coordinate strong testing and commissioning strong of HV transformers power cables switch gear protection systems and other HV equipment Ensure proper implementation of strong HV Permit-to-Work PTW strong procedures isolation switching and electrical safety requirements Coordinate HV switching operations equipment isolation earthing and restoration activities in accordance with approved procedures Review and ensure compliance with approved electrical drawings method statements inspection and test plans and applicable standards Identify and troubleshoot HV electrical faults and provide appropriate technical solutions Coordinate with clients consultants subcontractors and relevant authorities during project execution testing and commissioning Ensure all HV works are carried out in accordance with strong UAE GCC regulations safety standards and project requirements strong Maintain proper testing commissioning inspection and HV operational records Support authority inspections approvals energization and handover activities
Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in HV electrical projects, testing, commissioning, operation, or maintenance.
Strong practical experience with:
HV transformersHV switch gear
Power distribution systemsHV power cables
Protection and control systems
Testing and commissioning equipment
Good knowledge and practical experience with HV Permit-to-Work (PTW) procedures.
Previous experience as an Authorized Receiving Authority (RA) or equivalent is highly preferred.
Strong knowledge of HV safety, isolation procedures, earthing, switching operations, protection systems, and electrical standards.
Candidates with current or previous approvals/authorizations from DEWA, TAQA, or equivalent UAE electrical authorities/utilities will be highly preferred.
Previous UAE or GCC HV project experience is preferred.
Good communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
Experience in HV testing and commissioning of transformers, cables, switch gear, and protection systems.
Experience with HV energization and shutdown activities.
Experience working with UAE electrical authorities/utilities.
Valid UAE driving license is an advantage.
