Job Description

The Facade & Fire stopping Specialist is a full-time, on-site role based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The specialist will review façade and fire stopping designs, drawings, and specifications to ensure compliance with applicable Fire & Life Safety codes, UAE Civil Defence requirements, and international standards. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting site inspections, documenting findings, and preparing technical reports related to façade systems, passive fire protection, and fire stopping installations.
The role involves coordinating with project stakeholders, including architects, contractors, and authority representatives, to resolve design and construction issues and support approvals. The specialist will also contribute to testing and commissioning activities, provide technical guidance on best practices, and support continuous improvement of façade fire safety and fire stopping quality on complex projects.
- Strong knowledge of façade systems, passive fire protection, and fire stopping design and installation, with the ability to interpret architectural and engineering drawings.
- Experience in Fire & Life Safety, and building code compliance for high-rise or complex developments.
- Proficiency in conducting site inspections, preparing technical reports, and managing documentation for authority approvals and quality assurance.
- Familiarity with UAE Fire Code requirements and relevant international codes and standards (e.g., NFPA, ASTM, UL) is highly beneficial.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, or a related discipline.
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
- Prior experience in the Middle East region or with façade fire.
