- Supervise and Evaluate of Pavement condition using different indices such as Pavement Condition
Index, Pavement Condition Rating, or Pavement Quality Index using various pavement
performance attributes such as different distresses, Riding Quality (IRI), or Crack Index (CI.
- Supervise the identification of Distress type, severity & Quantity.
- Supervise and Calculate Pavement Condition Index (PCI) and other indices.
- Identifying different pavement layers & thicknesses Evaluation using Ground Penetrating Radar
(GPR).
Review, study and develop maintenance decision model/tree to come up with maintenance and
rehabilitation decisions.
- Supervise of Equipment Calibration and Testing including control sites
- Preparation of pavement maintenance and rehabilitation strategies based on available or
developed decision tree system, which rely on different decision criteria such as PCI, selected
distresses, IRI, cost estimate, etc.
- Preparation of Preventive Maintenance (PM), Corrective Maintenance (CM) work schedules, and
work progress.
- Sound understanding of Infrastructure Asset Management Plans, Infrastructure Asset Registers
and Infrastructure Asset Valuations.
- Demonstrate high-level written and verbal communication skills in explaining asset management.
- Analyse and establish new policies and procedures.
- Investigate and develop of road asset renewal programs and associated budget and reporting
requirements, including the investigation and design of road pavements.
- Preparation and implementation of Asset Management Plans and budgets utilizing specialized
knowledge and analytical skills to formulate and implement recommendations.
- Other responsibilities:
Prepare scope of work for pavement condition survey, Validation of
condition survey data, Follow up uploading collected data to database, Prepare work orders,
Identify required sections need visual inspection and produce reports, Coordination with the
Client to submit reports regarding validity of collected data, Bi-weekly reports, etc.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field;
Master's degree preferred. - Minimum of 8-10 years of progressive experience specifically in pavement engineering.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to present complex information clearly.
- Demonstrated leadership and project management skills, including team supervision and client interaction.
