Job Description Overview
An experienced Estimator with 8+ years of quantity surveying and cost estimating expertise, specializing in large-scale infrastructure and civil engineering projects, including pre-contract cost planning, BoQ preparation, and procurement strategy development. Skilled in utilizing CESSM and industry-standard estimating practices to deliver accurate cost estimates, risk assessments, value engineering, and tender documentation while collaborating effectively with multidisciplinary project teams.
Your role- Lead the preparation of pre-contract cost estimates, cost plans, and benchmarking for large-scale infrastructure projects.
- Develop and manage Bills of Quantities (BoQs) and pre-tender estimates using CESSM and other industry standards.
- Support the development of procurement strategies, including packaging, tendering, and contract formation.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure alignment between design intent and cost objectives.
- Prepare and review tender documentation, including pricing schedules and contract conditions.
- Conduct market analysis and engage with supply chain to inform cost data and procurement planning.
- Assisting in risk and value management and cost control functions.
- Assisting in identifying, analysing and developing responses to commercial risks.
- Attendance and representation at commercial meetings.
- 8 Years relevant experience.
- Estimator shall have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in the Middle East.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related discipline.
- Demonstrate strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
- Possess good project background and proven English language technical writing ability and skills.
- Strong background in pre-contract quantity surveying for infrastructure and civil engineering projects including master planning, preference for major international events experience (e.g. expos, sports events, cultural festivals).
