Senior Planning Engineer

We are seeking a Senior Planning Engineer who will be responsible for developing, monitoring, and updating project schedules to ensure timely project delivery. The role involves project planning, progress tracking, resource forecasting, risk analysis, and coordination with project teams to maintain schedule performance and compliance with contractual requirements.

Project Planning:
Develop detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 or MS Project. Prepare Work Breakdown Structure (WBS). Establish project baselines (scope, schedule, cost). Define milestones, deliverables, and critical path activities.

Schedule Monitoring & Control:
Track project progress and update schedules regularly. Conduct critical path analysis and identify delays. Prepare recovery plans and mitigation strategies. Monitor resource allocation and productivity.

Reporting & Documentation:
Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports. Generate S-curves, histograms, and KPI reports. Present schedule performance updates to management and clients. Maintain planning documentation and change logs.

Coordination &

Risk Management:

Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and construction teams. Identify potential risks affecting project timelines. Support claim preparation and extension of time (EOT) analysis. Participate in project meetings and planning reviews.

Skills

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or related field)
• 6–10 years of experience in project planning (construction/oil & gas/infrastructure preferred)
• Strong proficiency in Primavera P6 and/or MS Project
• Knowledge of project management principles and contracts
• Strong analytical and reporting skills
• Experience in delay analysis and cost control is an advantage
