KN International is urgently seeking a highly skilled Assistant Resident Engineer (Mechanical/Electrical) to join our team. This role involves overseeing the infrastructure and building services aspects of projects, ensuring quality execution, compliance with local regulations, and efficient coordination with contractors. The ideal candidate should have extensive experience in mechanical and electrical systems, including pumping stations and fluid mechanics.
Key Responsibilities- Assist the Resident Engineer in managing mechanical and electrical (M&E) infrastructure and building services projects.
- Oversee and coordinate pumping stations, fluid mechanics, and related systems to ensure compliance with project specifications and local regulations.
- Supervise the contractor’s work, ensuring adherence to contract requirements, safety standards, and quality control measures.
- Conduct regular site inspections and progress monitoring to ensure timely completion of M&E systems.
- Manage and respond to RFIs, submittals, and technical queries related to mechanical and electrical works.
- Collaborate with project stakeholders, including contractors, consultants, and government authorities, to ensure smooth project execution.
- Review project documentation, including material approvals, method statements, and shop drawings.
- Identify risks, troubleshoot issues, and recommend corrective actions to maintain project efficiency.
- Attend weekly and monthly progress meetings, providing technical input and status updates.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental (HSE) regulations on-site.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent).
- Minimum 10 years of experience in infrastructure and building services, preferably within the UAE.
- Previous experience working with TAQA WS
- Strong technical expertise in pumping stations, fluid mechanics, and M&E systems.
- Proven experience in construction supervision, quality control, and contract administration.
- Excellent problem-solving, leadership, and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks effectively.
