Job DescriptionThe Senior BIM Engineer is responsible for managing and coordinating Building Information Modeling (BIM) processes and standards for construction projects. This role involves overseeing the creation, maintenance, and quality control of BIM models and shop drawings, ensuring they meet project requirements and standards.
Key Responsibilities:BIM Standards Development and Implementation:
- Develop, implement, and enforce BIM standards and workflows.
- Ensure all BIM models and shop drawings adhere to company and project-specific standards.
Collaboration:
- Coordinate with project stakeholders, including architects, engineers, and contractors, to ensure seamless integration of BIM processes.
- Facilitate communication between different teams to resolve BIM-related issues.
- Oversee the creation, maintenance, and updating of BIM models.
- Ensure the accuracy and completeness of BIM models and shop drawings.
- Conduct quality control checks on BIM models and shop drawings to ensure they meet project specifications.
- Implement procedures for regular audits and reviews of BIM models.
- Provide training and support to project teams on BIM tools and processes.
- Stay updated with the latest BIM technologies and best practices.
- Manage BIM software, including installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.
- Evaluate and implement new BIM-related software and technologies.
- Develop and implement BIM execution plans for projects.
- Ensure that project milestones are met and that BIM deliverables are completed on time and within budget.
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Extensive experience with BIM software such as Revit, AutoCAD, and Navisworks.
- Strong understanding of construction processes and shop drawing requirements.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Minimum of 15+ years of experience in the BIM management field.
