ABOUT THE ROLEAs a Digital Hardware Engineer at FADA you will design, develop, integrate, and verify high-speed digital and mixed-signal electronic systems for satellites and SDR payloads to ensure reliable functionality, hardware-software interfacing, and robust operation in the space environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES- Support the design and development of high-speed digital and mixed-signal hardware for satellite and SDR payload applications.
- Contribute to hardware integration, bring-up, and debugging activities during development and test phases.
- Assist in the preparation and review of schematics, interface definitions, and technical documentation.
- Participate in laboratory verification and validation activities to confirm performance against requirements.
- Work closely with firmware, RF, mechanical, and system engineering teams to support end-to-end subsystem integration.
- Brilliant and motivated graduates, PhD students, PhDs in the faculties of engineering, physics, mathematics, computer science, interested in the position of Digital HW Engineer to be included in the company operating in the space sector.
- Availability for national and international travel. The job requires frequent travel abroad to the partner facilities.
- Good knowledge of the English language.
- Desirable Master degree in Electrical & Electronic Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering or similar.
- Foundation in digital electronics and high-speed mixed-signal design principles.
- Basic understanding of electronic schematics, interfaces, and board-level hardware development.
- Familiarity with high-speed digital design constraints, signal integrity, and hardware integration.
- Interest in satellite platforms, SDR payloads, and embedded electronic architectures.
- Ability to support hardware design, bring-up, debugging, and verification activities.
- Awareness of interfacing between digital hardware, firmware, and RF subsystems.
- Understanding of reliability and robustness requirements for hardware operating in the space environment.
- Willingness to learn about component selection, qualification constraints, and design-for-test approaches.
- Ability to work collaboratively with firmware, RF, system, and mechanical engineering teams.
- Good analytical skills, attention to detail, and a hands-on approach to engineering problem solving.
