CAD Designer; Road & Traffic Engineering

Job Description – CAD Designer (Road & Traffic Engineering) Position CAD Designer – Road & Traffic Engineering Location Experience Minimum 3 years of relevant experience Job Purpose

The CAD Designer will be responsible for preparing accurate and detailed 2D CAD drawings for road, traffic, and infrastructure projects
, working closely with engineers and design teams to support the development and delivery of project drawings.

• Prepare detailed road and traffic engineering drawings using AutoCAD or relevant CAD software.
• Develop and update:
• Road layouts and alignment drawings
• Longitudinal profiles
• Cross-sections
• Junction and intersection details
• Kerb, footpath, median and road-marking layouts
• Traffic management and temporary traffic arrangement drawings
• Signage and road furniture layouts
• Drainage and other associated infrastructure drawings
• Prepare drawings based on engineering designs, specifications, survey information and project requirements.
• Ensure drawings comply with applicable project standards, authority requirements and CAD standards
  .
• Coordinate with Civil/Road/Traffic Engineers and other disciplines to incorporate design changes.
• Review drawings for accuracy, completeness, dimensions, levels and consistency.
• Revise drawings based on engineering comments and client/authority requirements.
• Maintain proper drawing revisions, files, layers, references and document control.
• Assist engineers in preparing drawings for design submissions, approvals and construction
  .
• Coordinate with other CAD/design teams to resolve drawing interfaces and discrepancies.
• Support preparation of as-built drawings where required.

• Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in Road & Traffic Engineering CAD drafting/design.
• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD
  .
• Good understanding of road geometry, profiles, sections and junction layouts.
• Experience preparing engineering drawings for road/infrastructure projects.
• Ability to understand engineering drawings, design information and technical specifications.
• Good knowledge of CAD standards, drawing preparation and revision procedures.
• Ability to work independently and meet project deadlines.
• Good coordination and communication skills.

For the Abu Dhabi position
, candidates with UAE experience will be preferred, particularly experience involving:

• Road and traffic infrastructure projects
• Local authority/client submissions
• UAE road design and drafting standards
• Experience with relevant Abu Dhabi/UAE project requirements

Diploma / ITI / Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Drafting, CAD, or a related discipline is preferred.
