Job Purpose
We are looking for a practical and responsible Project Agriculture Engineer who can independently manage landscaping, vegetable garden, hydroponic, and indoor planting projects from the initial client/site requirement through project completion.
The engineer will be responsible for conducting site inspections, understanding client requirements, preparing technical plans, estimating materials, manpower and project duration before quotation, coordinating procurement, supervising labour, executing the project according to schedule, communicating with clients, maintaining quality standards, and completing proper project handover.
The candidate should have strong practical plant knowledge, good project and time-management skills, and the ability to manage labour teams efficiently.
1.Key Responsibilities
Site Inspection & Requirement Assessment
- Attend client sites and understand the complete project requirement.
- Take accurate site measurements, photographs and necessary technical information.
- Assess existing site conditions including:
- Sunlight and shade
- Water availability
- Irrigation requirements
- Drainage
- Electrical requirements where applicable
- Existing soil conditions
- Indoor environmental conditions
- Access for materials and labour
- Identify potential technical or execution challenges before preparing the proposal.
- Discuss requirements clearly with the client and report findings to management.
Before a quotation is submitted to the client, the engineer must prepare a proper execution plan covering:
- Proposed project solution.
- Plant varieties and quantities.
- Pot sizes and planter requirements.
- Soil/growing-media requirements.
- Irrigation materials.
- Hydroponic system components where applicable.
- Fertilizers and other agricultural inputs.
- Required tools and equipment.
- Labour requirement.
- Number of labourers required.
- Estimated labour hours/days.
- Transportation and logistics requirements.
- Equipment or machinery requirements.
- Expected project completion time.
- Project execution sequence.
- Potential site risks or additional requirements.
The engineer must ensure that the project timeline and resource requirements provided for quotation are realistic and achievable

- Prepare accurate project material requirements and quantities.
- Assist management/procurement in preparing BOQ and project costing.
- Avoid over-ordering and material shortages through proper quantity calculations.
- Coordinate with vendors and procurement teams regarding technical specifications.
- Verify materials and plants received before installation.
- Report damaged, incorrect or poor-quality materials immediately.
- Prepare a clear project execution schedule before starting work.
- Determine the expected duration of each activity.
- Plan labour allocation according to the work schedule.
- Ensure materials are available before labour is mobilized.
- Monitor progress against the planned schedule.
- Identify possible delays in advance and take corrective action.
- Ensure projects are completed within the committed timeline.
- Immediately inform management where client/site/vendor-related issues may affect completion dates.
