Our client is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Electrical Site Engineer to join their team in Dubai. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in electrical system design, testing, and site execution within the water treatment industry.
The Electrical Site Engineer will be responsible for preparing technical submittals, conducting electrical tests, coordinating with suppliers, overseeing site installations, troubleshooting, and supporting the seamless execution of projects.
The ideal candidate should have 5+ years of experience in electrical engineering, preferably within the water treatment or industrial sector, with strong knowledge of electrical design, testing procedures, documentation, and site execution.
- Design and prepare Electrical Technical Submittals
, including Single Line Diagrams, Schematic Diagrams, BOQs, Cable Lists, Load Schedules, Layouts, and Lighting & Power Plans, while ensuring proper coordination with other departments. - Develop the electrical section of the Operation and Maintenance Manual (OMM).
- Prepare electrical test documentation, including FAT, SAT, Mega Ohm Test, Continuity and Loop Test, and Functional Tests
. - Send RFQs to suppliers for electrical work
, negotiate terms, coordinate approvals, and manage supplier communications. - Program Micro Relays
, including LOGO and Zelio. - Oversee electrical installations at project sites and ensure work is executed according to project requirements.
- Carry out troubleshooting of electrical systems and resolve site-related technical issues.
- Ensure electrical works comply with applicable electrical standards and safety regulations
. - Collaborate with project managers, consultants, and technical teams to ensure smooth project execution.
- Ensure adherence to local regulations and industry best practices in electrical engineering and site execution.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
. - 5+ years of UAE experience in electrical engineering
, preferably within the water treatment or industrial sector. - Strong knowledge of electrical design, testing procedures, and documentation
. - Experience in RFQ preparation, supplier coordination, and project execution
. - Proficiency in AutoCAD and electrical design software.
- Experience with PLC programming is an advantage.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
- UAE Driving Licence is preferred but not mandatory.
