Job Summary
We are seeking TAQA Transmission-approved Electrical Competent Persons with relevant experience in Overhead Transmission Line (OHTL) projects. The role will be responsible for ensuring safe electrical work practices, compliance with TAQA standards, and effective supervision of electrical activities at the project site.
Roles & ResponsibilitiesSupervise and ensure safe execution of electrical activities associated with OHTL projects.
Act as the designated Electrical Competent Person in accordance with TAQA Transmission requirements.
Ensure electrical works are carried out in compliance with approved procedures, safety standards, and project specifications.
Conduct and support electrical isolation, switching, testing, and related safety procedures as authorized.
Identify electrical hazards and implement appropriate control measures before and during work.
Coordinate with project engineers, supervisors, HSE teams, and other site personnel.
Verify work permits, electrical safety requirements, and site readiness before commencement of work.
Monitor compliance with TAQA and project HSE requirements and report unsafe conditions or deviations.
Maintain relevant electrical documentation, checklists, permits, and inspection records.
B.Tech./B.E./Diploma in Electrical Engineering or relevant discipline.
Valid TAQA Transmission-approved Electrical Competent Person certification/approval.
Relevant hands-on experience in Overhead Transmission Line (OHTL) projects.
Strong understanding of electrical safety, isolation, switching, and work-permit procedures.
India or GCC project experience preferred.
Candidates available for immediate joining will be preferred.
