About the job DATA CENTER COMMISSIONING ENGINEER - ELECTRICAL We are seeking an experienced Data Center Commissioning Engineer – Electrical to support electrical commissioning activities. The candidate will coordinate electrical commissioning activities, system preparation, testing, energization, start-up and handover in accordance with approved procedures and project requirements.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES- Support planning and execution of electrical pre-commissioning and commissioning activities.
- Review electrical drawings, single-line diagrams, schematics, equipment datasheets, specifications, cause & effect diagrams and commissioning procedures.
- Coordinate with construction, engineering, operations, mechanical, instrumentation, controls and other disciplines.
- Verify system readiness and mechanical completion prior to electrical commissioning.
- Support electrical system preparation, inspection, testing, energization and functional testing activities.
- Participate in commissioning, energization, start-up and performance testing activities.
- Identify and resolve electrical-related technical and commissioning issues.
- Prepare and maintain commissioning check sheets, test records, punch lists and system handover documentation.
- Coordinate with vendors and subcontractors during commissioning and start-up.
- Support pre-start-up reviews, system handover and punch clearance.
- Ensure commissioning activities comply with approved procedures, project specifications and HSE requirements.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
- 8+ years of Data Center / Electrical Engineering experience, with strong commissioning exposure.
- Experience in electrical pre-commissioning, commissioning and start-up activities.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, single-line diagrams and commissioning procedures.
- Data Center project experience preferred.
- Site-based experience in major EPC projects preferred.
- Ability to coordinate effectively with multidisciplinary commissioning teams.
- Strong troubleshooting and technical problem-solving skills.
- Good understanding of HSE requirements during commissioning and start-up.
- Candidates with major Data Center commissioning experience are preferred.
- Immediate availability / short notice preferred.
