Site Mechanical Engineer

in our UAE
- Abu Dhabi office.
- Represent Syska in technical discussions with Clients, contractors, consultants, and project stakeholders.
- Review mechanical shop drawings, RFIs, material submittals, method statements, calculations, technical proposals, and variation requests.
- Carry out regular site inspections to ensure mechanical works comply with approved drawings, specifications, codes, and design intent.
- Coordinate mechanical works with other disciplines and resolve technical and construction-related issues.
- Monitor quality and progress, identify non-compliant works, and follow up on corrective actions and punch-list closure.
- Review and witness mechanical testing, pre-commissioning, commissioning, and integrated systems testing.
- Review as-built drawings, O&M manuals, testing records, warranties, and project close-out documentation.
- Support final inspections, Client handover, and Uptime Institute certification, where applicable.
- Identify and report design, construction, procurement, and schedule risks affecting project performance.
- Conduct Root Cause Analyses (RCAs) for failures in critical mechanical systems and prepare Client-facing reports with corrective actions.
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related discipline.
- Minimum 5 years of UAE experience in mechanical engineering design, construction supervision, and commissioning of complex building projects, preferably including mission-critical/data center facilities.
- Strong mechanical site supervision and construction experience.
- Experience with Data Centers / mission-critical facilities and associated mechanical systems.
- Strong knowledge of testing, commissioning, and critical systems.
- Excellent coordination, technical review, and Client-facing skills.
