- Conduct regular site inspections and audits to identify hazards, safety violations, and environmental risks.
- Develop, implement, and monitor safety programs, policies, and procedures in line with applicable UAE and international standards.
- Investigate incidents, accidents, and near-misses, prepare detailed reports, and recommend corrective actions.
- Provide on-site supervision and guidance to help ensure personnel follow established safety and environmental protocols.
- Analyse safety data and performance metrics to identify trends and areas requiring improvement.
- Coordinate safety training programs and awareness initiatives for site personnel.
- Maintain comprehensive safety and environmental documentation, records, and compliance files.
- Work with management and cross-functional teams to develop and refine safety strategies.
- Monitor the correct use and maintenance of personal protective equipment and other safety equipment.
- Monitor environmental compliance and waste management practices across site activities.
- Communicate safety requirements and expectations clearly to relevant stakeholders.
- Respond promptly to safety concerns and emergencies and support appropriate corrective action.
The Advisor SHE will provide an active site presence, combining preventive safety oversight with compliance monitoring and incident response. The position requires the ability to recognize hazards, assess risks, analyse safety performance, and communicate requirements effectively across operational teams. Environmental compliance is also part of the role, including monitoring site practices and waste management while maintaining the records required to demonstrate compliance with established procedures and standards.
Qualificationsand Experience
- Proven experience in occupational health and safety management or site supervision.
- Strong knowledge of safety regulations, standards, and best practices applicable to the UAE and GCC regions.
- Demonstrated ability to conduct risk assessments and analyse safety data.
- Experience working with safety management systems and software tools.
- Ability to make sound decisions under pressure while managing multiple priorities.
- Knowledge of environmental compliance and sustainability practices.
