Supervise and improve project HSE management systems, training, work practices, controls and policies in coordination with the Group HSE function.
Assess safety and environmental implications of project expansion, modification and closure, and ensure project HSE systems conform to ADNOC policies, guidelines and expectations.
Project HSE Management- Assess work environments for chemical, physical, biological and ergonomic hazards and develop measures to prevent illness and injury.
- Inspect project sites and monitor compliance with occupational health, safety and environmental legislation.
- Prepare HSE scopes of work for consultants and contractors.
- Check environmental management systems against HSE impact assessments, environmental impact assessments, applicable codes, guidelines and project-specific recommendations.
- Review project HSE targets and schedules against corporate and project requirements.
- Develop and update safety and environmental standards, procedures and guidelines for internal teams and external providers.
- Review consultant designs and project safety documents for conformity with company requirements and contractual scopes.
- Review and endorse consultant HSE deliverables and monitor contractor compliance with technical and safety standards.
- Participate in HAZOP reviews, environmental and safety studies, incident investigations and related technical assessments.
- Participate in technical evaluations of tender submissions for new projects.
- Support approval of health, safety and environmental impact assessment studies for new projects.
- Advise construction and commissioning teams on site safety and environmental requirements.
- Review safety equipment selection and application of statutory requirements.
- Conduct regular project site visits to verify implementation of HSE systems.
- Develop and maintain fit-for-purpose HSE management systems consistent with current company requirements.
- Supervise the Safety and Health Program, monitor its implementation and enforce its provisions.
- Establish and execute annual HSE audit plans and training programs.
- Maintain HSE management system document controls, records and supporting procedures.
- Review project HSE deliverables during Appraisal, Select, FEED and Execute phases.
- Coordinate implementation of ADNOC HSE guidelines and Codes of Practice.
- Monitor site adherence to the company 's Safety and Health Program.
- Support continuous updates to safety and environmental management systems.
- Analyze HSE performance statistics and use findings to guide improvements.
- Ensure safety reports and environmental permit submissions meet applicable deadlines and regulatory requirements.
- Report operational safety, health and environmental compliance information to ADNOC Group HSE.
- Maintain knowledge of applicable company and governmental safety, environmental and occupational health requirements.
- Promote the ADNOC HSE accountability framework and its safety culture requirements.
Lead preparation of the annual sustainability report for the Health, Safety and Environment Division within the Corporate Support Directorate. Prepare annual HSE correspondence for senior management and provide information for management information systems and progress reports.
Team Supervision and Operational Planning- Plan and coordinate assigned HSE activities and supervise unit personnel.
