Regulatory Compliance Specialist, Occupational Health & Safety
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive HSE policies and procedures tailored to project-specific risks and regulatory requirements
- Conduct regular site inspections and audits to identify hazards assess risks and ensure compliance with safety standards
- Investigate all incidents accidents and near misses determining root causes and implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence
- Manage and deliver effective HSE training programs for all site personnel fostering a strong safety culture
Bachelor’s degree in relevant Engineering OR Science OR HSE discipline (from an institution of higher learning authorized to grant academic degrees in the country of issue) Professional / Technical Qualifications NEBOSH IGC or Equivalent NEBOSH International Diploma Any other HSE certifications Mandatory Lead Auditor course ISO 45001/ ISO 14001 Incident Investigation technique. Additional HSE Trainings / Certifications will be added advantage.
WorkExperience
Minimum 12-15 years’ experience in HSE (Operations in the oil & gas or petro-chemical industries, construction, fabrication, installation, commissioning projects, with at least 5 years’ experience in a lead HSE position managing team of HSE professionals.
Skills and Competencies- Have strong understanding of the HSE issues, practices and behavioural aspects in the Oil & Gas EPC business.
- Able to lead a team of HSE professionals such as HSE Engineers, Sr. HSE officers, HSE officers etc.
- Sound understanding of the HSE Management System and HSE legal and legislative requirements.
- Sound understanding of all HSE Deliverables, HSE Studies.
- Broad knowledge and experience in audit processes.
- Competency in SSOW (PTW/ WMS/ Risk Assessment etc.)
- Ability to develop HSE plans, Emergency response procedures/plans.
- Ability to analyze incidents and apply root cause analysis techniques.
- Awareness of H2S hazards and control measures.
- Awareness of lifting, confined space, hazards and control measures.
- Ability to speak, read & write English with good communication skills.
- Effective interpersonal and verbal & written communication skills.
Candidates must have relevant experience in Pipeline, EPC, Oil & Gas, Flowline, Brownfield, Upstream Facilities, or Wellhead projects. Preference will be given to candidates with prior Gulf experience, especially those who have worked on ADNOC projects.

No Building construction experience except for road safety coordinators
Age CriteriaAge Criteria:
Maximum age limit is 49 years
For managerial positions, this may be extended up to 50 years if the candidate has significant Gulf experience
Managerial and SR. Positions:
A minimum of 5 years of Gulf experience in the relevant field is mandatory
