ABOUT THE ROLEThe Senior Avionics Systems Engineer is responsible for defining and managing avionics system architecture, deriving and allocating system requirements across hardware, software, and control domains, and ensuring effective integration throughout the system development lifecycle. The role manages system interfaces, requirements traceability, verification and validation activities, and supports safety and certification processes in line with ARP

. Working closely with multidisciplinary engineering and certification teams, the position ensures that avionics systems are technically coherent, fully traceable, compliant, and successfully integrated at system level.
- Develop subsystem architecture based on high-level system requirements.
- Derive system requirements from high-level requirements.
- Allocate system requirements to software, hardware, and control domains.
- Manage system interfaces (ICDs) between software, hardware, control, and other engineering teams.
- Provide necessary technical inputs to software, hardware, and control teams.
- Coordinate the lifecycle activities related to writing, verifying, and validating system requirements.
- Perform system-level integration and verification activities.
- Support safety assessment activities and derived requirements management.
- Support the establishment and execution of systems engineering processes compliant with ARP
4754A. - Maintain requirements traceability across system, hardware, software, and control levels.
- Prepare and maintain systems engineering documentation.
- Work in coordination with software, hardware, control, test, and certification teams.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Aerospace, Electrical/Electronics, Control, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience in avionics system development and system integration.
- Knowledge and experience in avionics system architecture.
- Knowledge of systems engineering design processes and related lifecycle activities.
- Knowledge and experience in ARP
4754A processes. - Experience in requirements engineering (capture, derivation, and traceability).
- Knowledge of communication interfaces such as RS-232/422/485, CAN bus, ARINC 429, ARINC 664, ARINC 825, and MIL-STD-1553.
- Experience with configuration, change, and requirements management tools such as SVN, DOORS, etc.
- Familiarity with safety assessment processes (ARP
4761, FHA/PSSA/SSA). - Familiarity with DO-178C and DO-254 within the system development context.
